Founder Tip #2 - Fitness Made Easy

Founder Tip #2 - Fitness Made Easy

Hey Fit Fam,

People think being fit is hard. Actually, fitness can be easy and I think we should work smarter not harder. Whether you’re starting a fitness journey or getting in better shape, these tips of the week are exactly what you need. With that being said...

Let’s get into your Tip of the Week.

Not everybody is a runner or even a jogger but, just about everybody can walk.

Fitness Fact… people who are inactive on average are hungrier daily than people who are active. Activity helps regulate hunger. So, I’m curious…

Are you getting 7000 steps every day?

If not, it’s time to start walking. A step app would be a great idea for tracking purposes.

Did you know the average American only walks 3,000-4,000 steps a day and we wonder why the pounds can add up year after year.

Getting an extra 6,000-10,000 steps a day can help burn an extra 200-300 calories a day and help regulate your appetite. That initially doesn’t sound like much, but one pound of fat is 3500 calories, so every 11 days you could prevent one pound of fat or even lose a pound, just from walking. These little changes add up quickly and that's what these tips are all about!

Walking is an easy way to get fit and stay fit.

Here's how to crush your step goal with these easy fitness habits!

Upon waking, eat breakfast, take your multi, drink water and go for a 20 minute walk. What a great way to start your day and turn on your fat burn mode.

Walking after eating helps digest food and you'll never be mad at yourself for starting the day off right.

10 minutes of walking is about 1,000 steps

That's just one way to get your steps in, other ways include:

  • Parking in the back of the lot (+500 extra steps)
  • Take at least 10 flights of stairs a day (+200 extra steps)
  • Take a 20 mins walk after lunch (digestion) (+2000 extra steps)
  • Take two desk breaks a day to walk 5 mins (+1000 extra steps)
  • Take a 30-60 minute walk when you get home (+3k-6k extra steps)

Boom!

Now you’re at 9,000-12,000 steps a day on top of all your other steps and soon you might go from walking to wogging, but hey, that’s another tip of the week!

Remember, lasting results come from solid habits.
